Before You Join!

But before you join us, we want to share a few important things to keep in mind. To participate in our community, you need to be at least 13 years old and have a parent or guardian's permission before you join.

It's also crucial that you follow Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, as well as Club Penguin Legacy's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Getting Help

Our Discord Moderation Team is separate and are not part of the Club Penguin Legacy Team, they are a group of experienced volunteers who are available to help you with any troublemakers that may appear within our community.

To report a suspicious user, you can send a Discord message to ModMail and they'll transfer you to a Discord Moderator.

The Discord Moderators are unable to assist you in any in-game related help such as security, account management, or anything pertaining to your account. They may however, be able to help you with general help guide questions. If you're unsure, refer to this handy chart:

Stay Safe Online

While our Discord Team will try their best to keep you safe, Discord is ultimately a platform where we have little control over outside of our Discord community. To protect yourself online, you must be vigilant at all times and control your own safety.

We have put together some safety tips to keep yourself safe on Discord, these tips are also accessible inside the community for you to reference at all times.

We highly recommend closing your DMs in this server to lower the risk of you receiving unsolicited or otherwise malicious messages.

Users on Discord are often targeted through DMs by scammers, spammers, and other bad actors. These users may also attempt to steal personal information or even your Discord/Club Penguin Legacy accounts.

Other Guidelines

When joining the Discord Community, we highly recommend changing your username or nickname to hide any personally identifiable information such as your first, middle, or last name. We also recommend you review your About Me and other sections of your profile that may reveal your personal information.

Our Discord Moderation Team reviews each member that joins our Discord and if we find that your profile is inappropriate or reveals too much personally identifiable information, we may take action to message you or remove you from the Discord community to safeguard your safety.

We also recommend you do not use your real face or photo in your profile picture for safety purposes. We may take action against users in specific cases.

Ultimately, your safety on our Discord Community falls under a collective responsibility; something that you must also contribute to. Our Discord Team cannot and will not be liable for anything that happens outside of our own community as we are unable to moderate any Direct Messages. Remember to abide by the platinum rule of treating everyone the way they want to be treated and be vigilant and responsible.
