Can you believe that this year is almost over? I can't believe it! The Holiday Party has finally arrived to our snowy island and Rockhopper has safely docked his Migrator at the Beach, he's ready to celebrate the Holidays with everyone! This comprehensive blog post will cover almost everything you'll need to make the most of your time during this two week party, and also new content updates that will be arriving in the next week or so. Let's not waste anymore time and get started on everything you'll need to know!

Kickoff Charity Concert

Cadence and the Penguin Band have returned again to celebrate the Holidays and raise awareness for our ongoing charity campaign! We're super excited to welcome everyone to join the Holiday Party Launch which is set for December 21st, 2023 at 1:00pm Penguin Standard Time. Right when you join, you'll enter the Iceberg, which is where our charity concert will happen. Come on down and celebrate the festivities with us. Shortly after the concert, the rest of the island will open up, allowing you to go check out the rest of the party

The Charity Concert runs everyday from 10am to 6pm Penguin Standard Time, each performance will reward you 2,000 Coins for watching! Make sure you don't miss out on these shows, especially if you're low on Coins!

Ask Santa

If you haven't already heard, we've brought back Ask Santa, which is a program that we like to run near the Holidays to allow newer players the chance to obtain rewards and items that they may have missed out on before they joined. The Ask Santa Program allows you to ask for any item, furniture, or Coins during a wave. We've already done our first Ask Santa wave, the next one is very near!

How do I participate in an Ask Santa wave? You should probably check the Ask Santa interface which is located in your user interface in the top right corner.

This interface will give you a countdown on when the next Ask Santa will be happening and how to fill out your Ask Santa Request. On the day of Ask Santa, you'll be able to access the form which will provide you all the Rules and Basic Requirements to participate in the program, be sure to read everything carefully. You'll only have about an hour to submit your item.

Change For Coins

This year, we're proud to partner with Direct Relief to provide aid in humanitarian efforts. Direct Relief works to equip health professionals in resource-poor communities to meet the challenges of diagnosing and caring for people in need. Every day, Direct Relief prepares the most vulnerable communities worldwide for more frequent, more destructive emergencies. And when disasters strike, Direct Relief responds fast, effectively, and efficiently to get medical resources where they need to be to save lives.

Want to make a difference? You can donate today by heading to any of the Change For Coins booths and following the on-screen instructions. Those who donate $1 or more will receive the following exclusive rewards: The Change For Coins 2023 Pin and the special Solitude Library Igloo, which is the best Igloo in the game, in our opinion. The Solitude Igloo features a breathtaking Igloo Location, where you can see the entire Island as Penguins stroll by, going about their day. There's sound effects, ambience, and snow! This is the perfect Igloo for you if you love people watching. This Igloo was done by one of our Senior Game Artists, Shovel. Take a look below!

Community Milestones

We've created Community Milestones as a way for everyone to be engaged during the party. Each time someone donates, $1 will be converted into something we call Change Points. Change Points is our global currency that we use to calculate our milestones which turns into exclusive rewards and items. Take a look at some of the Milestone tiers below and how we can unlock them together:

The final Community Milestone is 10,000 Change Points, which is a special custom Puffle. Lastly, once we reach this milestone, we will convert the money we've raised throughout the campaign into Coins and distribute them among the entire community (Those who have logged in to the game during the party). We will be converting $1 to 50 coins.

Referral System

Want to help out but can't donate financially? Not a problem! This year, we're introducing a Referral System, which allows you to give a friend who is able to donate your referral code. If you use this referral code, you'll unlock an extra Change Point, which means you'll get 2 Change Points instead of 1, which should speed up our Community Milestones even more! The Referral Code is a one-time use only, but a new one will be generated every 3 days. We encourage everyone to make a difference, regardless if you're donating or not!

You can grab your personal referral code by heading to the Change For Coins interface, which is at the Beach, or anywhere around the island. Simply copy the code and give it to a friend, it's that easy!

How To Donate

We're honored to continue the tradition that the original game fostered, create meaningful change and pave a way for future generations. Last year, we were able to raise nearly $10,000 USD to support the cause of Coral Reef Alliance, we hope that this year, we can double this number! You can donate today by heading to any of the Change For Coins booths. We thank you for your support on behalf of Direct Relief and can't wait to see all the awesome progress over the next couple weeks.

The Change For Coins Program starts now and ends on January 3rd, 2023. Remember that we do not process transactions and donations and the Club Penguin Legacy Team will never ask for any monetary payment or donations on behalf of Direct Relief. All donations must be processed through the Direct Relief platform through the referral link that is available in-game.

Party Pass & Island Quests

We've updated the Holiday Party to include a lot of new Island Quests, some will require friends while others will require some individual work. We have over 10 new Island Quests for this Holiday Party and more may be on the way! There are also new Stamps that are available to collect as well, here are some of the few that are in circulation for this party:

Rockhopper Visits & Rare Items

Rockhopper will be making his visit for this Holiday Party with an all-new exclusive background, this is going to be one of our coolest backgrounds yet, so we're gonna leave it as a surprise for now. He's also brought some new Rare Items that are available in the catalog inside the Migrator's Shiphold. These items will only be available for the next week and a second wave of items will take over, make sure to be quick and grab all the items before they're gone!

Santa's Sleigh

Santa's Sleigh is currently available for tours. Starting Christmas Eve, you'll be able to drop presents down everyone's chimneys and deliver joy to the entire world! There are many Items that you'll be able to collect through Santa's Sleigh. In order to receive these items, you must complete a full cycle of Santa's Sleigh with a perfect score. You'll be rewarded a random item that's available, you can keep playing the game until the party ends so you can collect all the items! A full list of available items will be available once the update is released.

Bakery Tour and Cookies!

The Bakery is currently extremely busy at the moment with a load of cookies to bake for the Holidays. Unfortunately, because of this, the Bakery is currently closed for tours. We expect the Bakery to be open on December 26th, you'll be able to learn how to bake the best and most yummy cookies in the world... So delicious that eating a cookie may transform you into something CHILLY.

Just a reminder that our 31 Days of Gifts is still running during the Holiday Party at the Forest! Everyday, you'll be able to treat yourself with a new present, ranging from clothing items to furniture, Igloos, Pins, and more! Don't miss out on any gifts by checking the Forest daily for new items!

New Years Countdown

The Holiday Party has just begun but it's not too early to start thinking about how we're gonna ring in the New Year! You might have remembered our New Year's celebration last year, a spectacular DJ set by DJ Maxx, with fireworks, and a 2023 Party Hat collectible. We hope you'll come down to our 2024 New Years Celebration. Details will be arriving soon!

Wrapping Up

Thank you to the community for your patience during the downtime as we prepare to wrap up the 2023 year. We've done so much this year, loads of new game updates, the release of a beloved new multiplayer experience: Card-Jitsu League, a bunch of fun and awesome parties, and so much more! The Holiday Party is the perfect event to close off another chapter of Club Penguin Legacy.
