Hi Penguins,

Calling all Igloo Designers, Builders, Architects, and Decorators! We're so excited to announce that we'll be hosting our first ever Igloo Contest here on our snowy island. Do you spend hours and hours inside the Igloo Builder and love showing off your brand new Igloo? This is the perfect opportunity for you to shine!

Starting May 29 to June 5, you'll have the chance to build and decorate an Igloo that meets our contest guidelines and criteria for a chance to win awesome prizes and bragging rights. We're posting this announcement just a day early for you to start preplanning and getting ready. On Monday, May 29, we'll officially be opening submissions for you to send in your final Igloos. The contest will be open for a whole week and submissions will close on June 5 at 12:00am Penguin Standard Time.

The contest will be judged by an expert panel of Igloo Builders and the Club Penguin Legacy Team. We can only crown the top three contestants for this edition of the Igloo Contest, however we'll be sure to show off some of the "honorable mentions" as we like to call it, in the final blog post recapping the event and contest.

Here are your details and submission guidelines for this contest:

• Boundary-On only submissions
• One submission per Penguin
• Must submit before deadline (June 5 @ 12:00am PST)
• Must follow the Igloo Contest theme
• Unlimited Furniture Quantity

For this contest, we'll be judging and allowing "Boundary-On" submission only. We want to see your creativity shine through the limitations of preset boundaries in your igloo. We'll be hosting more contests in the future with different variations of guidelines such as Boundary-Off, and more.

The Theme

This contest's theme is Summer and Tropical. As you may or may not already know, summer is fast approaching; school is nearly over, and everyone is excited to kick back and enjoy a nice few months of relaxation. Let's celebrate the upcoming new season by creating and decorating an igloo that exemplifies and showcases your summer spirit.

You can use any Igloo that you'd like as long as you believe it fits the theme of summer or tropics. Your creativity and imagination is your only limit (And the boundaries of your Igloo).

The Rewards

Those who place within the Top 3 of the Igloo Contest will receive an award that you can display in your Player Card or Stampbook / Stampbook Cover. This is a rare award that only the winners of Igloo Contests can receive. Here's a look at the animated version of the Award that you can receive if you place within the Top 3!

Winners of past Igloo Contests can also display a banner in your Igloo to show and signify that you've participated and placed within the Top 3 of the Igloo Contest. Finally, all eligible entries for the Igloo Contest will receive a new Event stamp that will be added to your Stampbook in the coming days. (Don't worry if the missing stamp isn't visible in your Stampbook just yet.)*

* - The stamp is participation only. You do not need to place within the Top 3 to receive the stamp; however a valid entry is required to be eligible.

Wrapping Up

We hope that you're excited as we are to kick off the first Igloo Contest. The team and our judges can't wait to see all the unique, creative, and inspiring Igloo Design and Builds. Remember that submissions will officially open sometime during the afternoon of May 29th, 2023 and will close at 12:00am PST on June 5th.

To access the submissions, simply head to your Igloo and click the golden Igloo icon thats located above the Igloo Builder edit icon. From there you'll be given step-by-step instructions on how to submit your Igloo for consideration. Be sure to carefully read through the submission guidelines and make sure you are eligible for submission!

Winners of this Igloo Contests and future Igloo Contests may have the opportunity to help judge future editions.
