The day has finally come… PUFFLES AND THE PUFFLE PARTY ARE HERE! This is an occasion that you all have been waiting for since we opened our snowy island back in 2022, and now your patience has finally paid off. This post is going to give you a guide to everything you need to know about this massive update. Let’s get started!

Pet Shop

It all starts with our new and improved Pet Shop! This all new take on a classic room was done by Shovel, you may remember their past work on rooms such as the Arcade and Book Room! It perfectly combines both versions of the original game’s Pet Shop into a vibrant place to adopt your beloved pets.

Of course, it all starts with adopting a puffle. You can do so by walking up to the ADOPT A PUFFLE hut in the upper left corner of the shop or by clicking on the clipboard icon on the bottom right of your screen. There are 10 unique puffles to adopt, each costing 1,000 coins. When you click on a specific species of puffle, it will show their personality and a cool fact about them. If you’re having trouble deciding which one(s) to adopt, hopefully those can help you out!

For all of you stamp collectors out there, you’ll be able to earn the brand new Puffle Owner stamp. To do so, all you have to do is adopt and care for 15 puffles, which is the current maximum amount of puffles that penguins can adopt.

‍

In order to take the best care of your puffle, you should direct yourself to the Puffles Catalog. Inside, you’ll find various puffle furniture, food, and toys, to keep your puffle as happy as can be!

Puffle Care

When your puffle is in your igloo, you can click on it to unveil three different buttons: walk, interface, and backyard.

‍

The left button is for walking. Walking your puffle will simply allow you to waddle around the island with your puffle by your side. You’ll also be happy to know that puffles will not take away any hand items you’re wearing while walking! Some puffles even have the ability to play games! These puffles include:

• Black Puffle in Cart Surfer
• Green Puffle in Jet Pack Adventure
• Pink Puffle in Aqua Grabber
• Purple Puffle in Dance Contest
• Red Puffle in Catchin’ Waves

‍

Bringing any of these puffles to their respective games will earn you brand new stamps (minus the Purple Puffle) and bonus coins!

The center button is the Puffle Interface, which is where you will make sure your puffle is happy and healthy! This is where you will provide food, toys, cleanliness, and sleep for your puffle. All you have to do is simply grab an icon and drag it to your puffle, and it’s corresponding health bar will increase! The higher the health bars, the happier your puffle will be. Don’t forget you can always purchase supplies in the Puffles Catalog in the Pet Shop!

Inside the Puffle Interface, you can also view your very own Adoption Certificate or return your puffle back to its natural habitat if you wish.

Lastly, the right button is the backyard. Penguins will be able to have as many as 10 puffles in their igloo, so this is where backyards come into play! If you’re an avid puffle caretaker with lots of puffles, backyards will come in handy to give your puffles more room to roam. Shovel was also able to provide us with their own take on the default version of the backyard!

That just about covers the basics for adopting and taking care of puffles, now onto the Puffle Party!

Island Quests

Island Quests have once again returned, and lots of them! There are exactly 35 Island Quests with this party! Each time you complete an Island Quest you will also receive coins depending on the rarity of the specific quest. Here is a breakdown on the coin rewards for each Island Quest type:

• Easy Quests: 50 Coins (Green)
• Medium Quests: 100 Coins (Yellow)
• Hard Quests: 150 Coins (Blue)
• Extreme Quests: 350 Coins (Red)

‍

For the first time ever, we have TWO prizes for you to collect if you complete all the quests. I hear wearing both of these items will create a special dance… Be sure to grab some fellow penguins to help you complete them!

Stamps & Mascots

In addition to Island Quests, you will of course be able to earn several stamps. The stamps for this party include: Explorer, Food Fight, Party Puffle (brand new!), Snack Shack, Happy Room, Target Champion, and Party Maestro.

‍

Now, this party features the long-awaited return of a very cool mascot: Puffle Handler! This will be her first appearance on the island since December 2022 to be exact! She will have a stamp for you to earn upon meeting her, in addition to her a brand new custom giveaway! It was mentioned on the blog some time ago, but I’ll say it again, it’s one of the coolest mascot giveaways to ever be given out. It was created by none other than our artist mar. You surely won’t want to miss out on it! There will be random meetups, but there will also be some scheduled ones. Below are some scheduled mascot meetup times:

Puffle Costumes Catalog

In addition to the various free items this party has to offer, there is also the Puffle Costumes Catalog! Have you ever wanted to dress up as a puffle? Well, now you can! All 10 species of puffle have a costume designed after them, so make sure you’ve got enough coins to collect them all! This catalog will be located in both the Plaza and Town.

Party Rooms

This party introduces three new party rooms: the Dance Club Rooftop, Puffle Feeding Area, and Puffle Show!

‍

First up is the Dance Club Rooftop! Located through the Arcade, this place is the perfect dance party for you and your puffle. You can jam out to four different songs using the Music Maker 3000 and have an absolute blast!

‍

Next, let’s talk about the Puffle Feeding Area! Located north of the Snow Forts, once you enter the room, you can throw Puffle O’s to puffles as they pop up! I hear one of the Island Quests has to do with this activity!

‍

Lastly, there is the Puffle Show. Located north of the Ski Village, there are a few things you can do here. You can have your puffle take on an obstacle course or even show them off at a judging station! There’s also a background and some Island Quests you can claim as well!

Wrapping Up

That just about covers everything! This party will last from now until Monday, September 30. Just as a heads up, with an update as big as this one, you may come across the occasional bug or two. If that’s the case, please feel free to report them to us so that we can fix them as soon as we can!
