Aunt Arctic's Article #7

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last week, we took a look at the Fashion Contest, gained an inside scoop of the new Penguin Style, and even got some breaking news. This week, we say goodbye to the Fashion Festival and hello to the Stadium! New igloo catalogs are also fast approaching…

Farewell, Fashion Festival!

After two and a half weeks, the Fashion Festival officially departed our island today. Thousands of penguins submitted outfits across these wonderful seven themes, but only 70 could come out on top with the Fashionista Pin to prove it! Dot the Disguise Gal had this to say to everybody:

“I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everybody who checked out the Fashion Festival. It was so great to see months of preparation pay off. I had an absolute blast seeing every single submission, and I hope to see you all again soon! Check out the blog very soon for a few more of my personal favorite submissions!” - Dot

While I may have not submitted anything myself, I concur with Dot! This festival was incredible, and one of the most special parties we’ve ever thrown! Cheers to what comes next!

The Stadium Returns!

The ice has melted, and the fake grass is growing in. It’s almost time to welcome back the Stadium! Grab your soccer balls and gear, because you'll soon be able to hit the turf! I was thankfully able to speak to a staff member of the Stadium on the changeover:

“It’s always exciting when we switch over to the Stadium. For our catalog, we got a nice array of soccer uniforms from years past, but this year we’ve added some nice new secrets for those who may not be interested in soccer. We wanted to include a bit more variety this year!”

The Stadium will be arriving sometime tomorrow, so be sure to get prepared for the fun!

New Igloo Catalogs Coming Soon!

Calling all builders! Brand new igloo catalogs are arriving very soon! Now, the recent Penguin Style catalog featured some nice outdoor gear, let’s see if we can expect the same with igloos.

“There’s A LOT of stuff in here that’s very fitting for what appears to be… caves? I don’t know what that could mean at the moment… I’m sure we’ll find out soon. However, I hear there’s also some nice Summer tunes and even a special summer-themed igloo for those who wish to create their own beach party!”

You heard it here first! There’s one word to describe these catalogs and that’s… caves! Perhaps I should have a chat with our good friend Rory soon…

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

I enjoy singing, so I was wondering what your favorite song is? I hope to perform it one day!

- pop princess

Dear pop princess,

It's great that you love singing so much! Sometimes when your head is clogged with a bunch of thoughts, one of the best things you can do is to listen (and of course sing along) to some great music.

My favorite artists are none other than Cadence and the Penguin Band, both acts create some wonderful songs! If I had to pick a favorite, I would have to choose “The Party Starts Now” by Cadence, it’s the perfect way to lift penguins up! I hope to see you perform it one day!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

What’s in it for you to write these articles?

- kitty kins

Dear kitty kins,

To put it simply, I write these articles, because I love it! The thing that puts a smile on my face everyday is gathering information regarding the happenings of our snowy island. It makes me feel quite fulfilled.

I understand some penguins do miss the newspaper, myself included! Perhaps one day we can finally start that back up again. However, for now I thought it would be a great idea to try an era of blogging!

If you have a question about our snowy island, let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

That wraps up this week’s edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article! Thank you for stopping by, penguins. As with every Monday, new Community Events have been posted at the Lakeside! To those who attend any of these events, I hope you have a wonderful time!

Until next time… waddle on!
