Aunt Arctic's Article #34
Hello, penguins!
Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, we talked more about The Great Storm, took a look at some new Igloo Catalogs and got some insight as to what’s happening on our island next! This week, we’ll discuss the final days of The Great Storm, hear more about the upcoming party and hear about the upcoming Penguin Style!

The Tale of Tuhirangi!
This past week, The Great Storm concluded with an intense final battle! Waitaha took those willing to face the sea serpent and put an end to the overcast weather once and for all!
Brave pirates would use their flipper-crafted Ruby Cutlasses to reflect the sea serpent’s attack until it reached the point where it was no longer strong enough to battle. However, Waitaha realized that they and the sea serpent were quite alike, as they both felt pretty lost in the modern world. Waitaha decided to make the sea serpent a member of their pirate crew and named them Tuhirangi!
For being quite brave in the face of danger, Waitaha awarded penguins with some fascinating treasures, including Dragon Puffles that made their way over from Medieval times during the Medieval Party! Waitaha and Tuhirangi have set sail for now, but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing them again in the future.

Last week, Rookie wrote a little section of my article telling us that “silliness is about to take over”. I decided to reach out to him to see if I could gather any more details, and here’s what he had to say:
“Wait, I wrote something for your article last week? Hmmm… Oh yeah! Yes, foolish activities are on the rise, for the April Fools’ Party is making its way to the island! I’m so excited! We’re planning on exploring a couple new dimensions AND I even have a special co-host joining me this year… See you soon!” - Rookie
Rookie stated that if all goes well the April Fools’ Party will begin INCREDIBLY soon! Perhaps sooner than you think... Keep your guards up, because there will surely be a lot of pranks being pulled by penguins I’m sure!
Spring Styles Arriving Soon!
Despite being on a snowy island, spring is very much still celebrated a bit! In fact, a new Penguin Style is arriving very soon and is set to have outfits for this very occasion! Here’s what I heard:
“I’m happy to report that this time around I am actually able to give you insight as to what’s coming! To put it simply, these new pieces of clothing will be perfect to take in the (very slightly) warmer weather! I think penguins are going to enjoy it!” - Gift Shop Manager
The new Penguin Style is set to release later this week, so be on the lookout!

Ask Aunt Arctic
Dear Aunt Arctic,
What are the names of your puffles?
- GadgetGal
Dear GadgetGal,
Oh, I always enjoy talking about my puffles! However, what penguin wouldn’t enjoy talking about their puffle?
I currently own five puffles: a blue puffle named EleanorMae, a pink puffle named Agent, a black puffle named Herbert, a green puffle named Cornelius and a purple puffle named Scone.
They are quite the handful, but I love them with all my heart. Perhaps one day I’ll be able to adopt other species of puffles to join them. If I didn’t find myself so busy, I definitely would!
Dear Aunt Arctic,
How are you feeling now that The Great Storm has passed? I loved the stormy weather, but I prefer the sunny skies! What is your favorite kind of weather?
- Camo72300
Dear Camo72300,
I’m feeling much better knowing that our island is back to its normal weather forecast! However, I’m even more pleased to know that both Waitaha and Tuhirangi are feeling a bit more at ease with adjusting to the modern world.
I would have to agree with you, my favorite weather is when it's sunny outside, but with a few clouds up there as well! I will say, during the Holiday Party I love seeing the Aurora Borealis up in the sky.
I wonder if the island will ever face any other unique types of weather? Only time will tell I suppose, but for now it’s nothing but blue skies ahead!

Rookie the penguin, a green one so bright,
Always cracking jokes, spreading cheer and delight.
From missions to parties, he’s in on the fun,
With his goofy hat on, he’s second to none!
He’s may just be a rookie, but never tells a lie,
Jumping into action, reaching for the sky.
With penguin pals around, laughter fills the air,
In this boxy world, Rookie’s love is everywhere!

In the land of snow, where the cold winds blow,
I waddle and slide, and let the fun flow.
With a flipper to wave and a smile so wide,
I find new friends, by my side they reside.
At the Cove, where the music’s so sweet,
We gather together, tapping our feet.
The lights flash bright, and the music’s alive,
In this penguin world, we all thrive and dive.
We laugh and we chat, in the warmth of the crowd,
Each step a rhythm, each voice loud.
A new friend here, and another one there,
Dancing in sync without a single care.
The ice beneath us is cold and so pure,
But the joy in our hearts is the perfect cure.
Through every move and every wave,
We make memories in the cold and brave.
In the Cove, we don’t need anything more,
Just penguins united, to dance and to soar.
In this snowy world, with new friends to find,
We dance through the night, leaving worries behind.
