Aunt Arctic's Article #25
Hello, penguins!
Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, I shared an interview with none other than Captain Rockhopper to discuss the ongoing Holiday Party. This week, we take a look at some other gifts our favorite pirate provided and what else is in store for these festivities…

X Marks the Spot!
The second week of our Holiday Party has just begun, and Rockhopper decided to begin the latter half of the celebration with a few more gifts! This caused quite the excitement, as several island residents were waiting for these particular gifts for quite some time! Here’s what Rockhopper had to say:
“After all this time, I was finally able to dust off me Treasure Hunt sandboxes! I can’t believe it took me so long to find them! Along with this, I have left me journal in the Book Room. It contains stories of some of me greatest adventures! I highly suggest you read ‘till the very end, especially if ye enjoy some treasures of yer own…” - Rockhopper
While Treasure Hunt will only be available while The Migrator is docked, The Journal of Captain Rockhopper will serve as a permanent addition to the Book Room! I look forward to reading it myself!
New Year, New Celebration!
In addition to the Holiday Party being an annual tradition this time of year, so is New Year’s Day, and it’s coming back this year! DJ Maxx has been getting everything ready for what he considers his favorite time of year:
“I love performing for New Year’s! There’s no better way to start a new year than with a HUGE party to never forget! Not only will I be performing, I’ll also be visiting, and I can’t wait to hear what everybody’s favorite parts of 2024 were.” - DJ Maxx
The celebration will kick off very soon and will remain until the end of the Holiday Party on January 5. You’ll also wanna be sure to claim your very own 2025 Party Hat to show that you attended!
2024: A Year In Review!
Well, this year has been absolutely wonderful hasn’t it? From Dot making her debut at the Fashion Festival, to puffles finally being discovered, to Card-Jitsu receiving some key changes, it’s been great to see how far we continue to go as a community!
My favorite parts were personally the 2nd Anniversary Party, Wayback and the Holiday Party. I just love celebrating our community and giving back to those in need. I’m so very proud of how so many of you work towards making positive change on our snowy island.
What were your favorite parts of the year? I’d love to know, I just may even feature your answer in the next article! I wish you all a very happy new year, and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us!

Ask Aunt Arctic
Dear Aunt Arctic,
I’ve always wanted to meet Waitaha, but they haven’t been around in quite some time. Do you know if they will return soon?
- Anti lola
Dear Anti lola,
Waitaha is quite the mysterious pirate! They first appeared during the Island Adventure Party back in August 2022, but have not returned since.
Our experience with them started off rather rocky. From what I remember, they had faced betrayal in the past, and they tend to keep their guard up. However, as that party progressed, we showed that they could trust us!
I’m not sure when we can expect to see them again, but I’m sure our paths will cross once again.
Dear Aunt Arctic,
First off, I just wanted to say happy holidays! Now, as a calm person, what puffle do you think I should adopt?
- weluvyas
Dear weluvyas,
Happy holidays to you too! I hope you’ve been enjoying the Holiday Party and that Santa treated you very well!
In regards to your question, I would highly recommend looking into adopting a white puffle if you’re a relatively calm person. White puffles are quite shy, and so they tend to thrive well in a calmer environment.
If you’re a huge fan of snow, you’ll be happy to know that this puffle can produce snow and ice on its own! Whatever puffle you decide, I hope you’re able to share a great connection with each other.
If you have a question, joke, riddle, or poem to share, let your voice be heard! I’d love to hear from you. By being featured in one of my articles, you’ll receive your very own Blue Book. Be published three times and you can earn the Blue Mail Bag!

Until next time… waddle on!
