Aunt Arctic's Article #2

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. There’s been some exciting things happening around the island, including a couple of mysteries, one of which I was able to uncover! Without further ado, let’s take a look at this week’s scoop!

Top Stories

Let’s Get Red Carpet Ready!

This past Wednesday, new fashions arrived at the Gift Shop! The catalog contained an array of stunning looks fit for any formal occasion. From suits and dresses of various color schemes, this catalog seems to have a lot going for it! Here’s what the manager of the Gift Shop had to say:

“Me and… the mystery guest (I’ve been told not to say their name yet), we’re getting everything together for this catalog throughout the start of the month. I have to say, they did a good job at picking some nice new outfits. I still feel somewhat conflicted about that Mullet Gown though… I could’ve sworn I saw one of them blink at me.” - Gift Shop Manager

These new outfits will be featured in the Penguin Style for the next couple of issues, so you still have plenty of time to earn enough coins to collect them all!

Live in the Lap of Luxury!

The new Penguin style was only the beginning! I’ve received word that new Igloo Catalogs are on the horizon. There’s going to be a lot of new furniture to help spruce up your home. I was thankfully able to speak to an igloo insider about this information:

“Luxury? Fashion? Red Carpet? Those are just a few key words to describe these upcoming igloo catalogs! I know what you’re thinking… wouldn’t fashion be a key word for Penguin Style? I can assure you, it works for these igloo catalogs! There’s even a cool new igloo to purchase and some sweet new tunes.” - Roofhowse, fellow Igloo enthusiast.

He was also able to say that the new catalogs should be arriving sometime this week! I hope you were able to earn a good amount of coins during our Double Coin Weekend, cause you’ll need them for these catalogs!

Breaking News From Our Mystery Host!

Shortly after finishing the Igloo interview, I happened to run into our mystery host who was quite thrilled to see me! They were able to make a very important announcement for you all:

“I’ll only disguise my identity for a bit longer, but I feel like it’s time to unveil what’s hitting the island soon. Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to become a superstar with the…

Fashion Festival!

Fancy outfits were just the beginning, as there will be many other themes to allow you to shine during this event. That’s why I’ve been carefully crafting a HUGE catalog to help penguins assemble their best creations. With the way things look now, we’ll be able to start this exciting event later this month! Now if you’ll excuse me, there’s still a lot of work to do. Thanks for the interview!” -???

You heard it here first, penguins! I think now would be a great time to closely examine your wardrobes to see just exactly what you have to work with. An exciting time is surely ahead!

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

How did you decide on your signature look?

- sapphguin

Dear sapphguin,

My signature look is a rather simple one. Just a simple pink beanie with reading glasses, and I always like to keep a pencil on me! A reason why I enjoy this look so much is that I actually made my beanie all by myself! Fun fact, it was the first beanie to ever be made on the island. I enjoyed wearing it so much that I wanted everyone to have one, so I showed the staff at the Gift Shop how I crafted it, and the rest is history! Multiple colors have been made too!

As for my glasses, they just so happened to compliment the hat really well. With me being a writer, I felt that it was both useful and unique to keep a pencil lodged between the hat and glasses. However, I may have to change some things up now that the Fashion Festival has been announced!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

Can we tip the iceberg?

- Duckie1234

Dear Duckie1234,

Tipping the iceberg is one of the greatest tales this island has to offer. Some do not believe it is possible, while others do! Personally, I’d like to believe it’s true. Sadly, I have never seen the Iceberg tip. However, just because it has not happened yet, doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to do so!

The best way to try and accomplish this goal is by getting a huge group of penguins together. From there, use your hard hats to drill away! From what I’ve heard, the left side is the best spot to attempt tipping! If you’re unsuccessful with your goal, you can at least earn the Berg Drill! stamp if you get 30 penguins to join you.

If you have a question about our snowy island, let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

That just about wraps up this week’s edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article! Thank you for stopping by, penguins. There's one more thing to say before I sign off. New Community Events have been posted at the Lakeside! Submissions for new events will be reopening later this week. To those who attend any of these events, I hope you have a wonderful time!

Until next time… waddle on!
