Aunt Arctic's Article #16

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, we went over the highlights of the recent Puffle Party. For this edition, we’ll be looking at the ongoing Fair, and perhaps get a little peek into what’s to come later this month!

Top Stories

Fun Fair!

It was certainly a close call with the tight schedule of the Puffle Party. However, our party planning committee persevered, and this year’s Fair has been on the island for over a week now! I got a chance to briefly chat with our two hosts of the party: Bambadee and Rockhopper! Here’s what they had to say:

“The Fair is my favorite time of year, so I’m very happy that it was able to come back again! I love everything about it, especially all of the brand new prizes! I would say my absolute favorite part is the bumper car arena at the Stadium! It’s so much fun driving around in my Pink Racer! VROOOOOM!” - Bambadee

“This Fair has been a real treat! Earning tickets from games reminds me of finding treasure on me travels! The Great Puffle Circus be even better than I remember, especially now that penguins have their very own puffles by their side. Yarr and I can’t get enough of this party! HAR HAR!” - Rockhopper

The Fair is here to stay for another week, until next Monday to be exact! Be sure to take in all the festivities while they last. If you happen to run into either of our two hosts, be sure to say hi, they’d love to have a chat with you!

Spooky Styles!

Before The Fair even arrived, the Gift Shop received a brand new inventory of clothing! It appears like it’s in preparation for our upcoming third annual Halloween Party! As per tradition, I asked the Gift Shop Manager what this edition of the Penguin Style had to offer:

“This catalog has all of the Halloween classics: ghosts, skeletons, bats, witches, monsters, you name it! In addition to the classics, we also added some new flare to some long-time favorite items. I overheard from a Halloween Party planner that even more new clothing could be on the way…” - Gift Shop Manager

Be sure to also look through the entire catalog, as there were also some classic Fair outfits put into it as well! This will also be the last edition where the puffle themed outfits are available, so get them while they last!

A Harrowing Halloween Awaits!

As mentioned earlier, another fan-favorite party arrives later this month: the Halloween Party! Like The Fair, this will be the third time this celebration has been thrown on the island! I decided to talk to a longtime friend of mine, a penguin who hasn’t appeared since last Halloween: Gary the Gadget Guy!

“Indeed, it’s true! The Halloween Party is returning once again! I do quite enjoy it. Last year, we had plans on entering a rather haunted mansion, but we had to cancel those plans out of concern for everyone’s safety. This year? Well, I’d like to think that we are going to be far more prepared this time around.” - Gary

Get ready to experience both classic and new activities at this year’s Halloween Party! It is expected to begin sometime later this month. I’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop if any new details arise.

Ask Aunt Arctic

Before we begin this week’s edition of Ask Aunt Arctic, I have some exciting news! Beginning with our next edition, we will be rewarding those who are featured here on the article with the Blue Book and Blue Mail Bag. If you are featured on the article once, you’ll receive the Blue Book. If you are featured on the article three times, you'll receive the Blue Mail Bag. If you were featured in a past edition of the article, you’ll be receiving these items depending on how many times you were featured.

We will also be expanding this portion of the article to also include jokes, riddles, and poetry beginning next edition! Ask Aunt Arctic is here to stay, but because this section is expanding, it will now be renamed to Extra Extra! I can’t wait to see all your submissions, but until then, let’s see this week’s questions.

Dear Aunt Arctic,

I was wondering how I could buy more instruments to play at the Lighthouse with my buddies. Do you happen to know how I can do that?

- mateiutz

Dear mateiutz,

I can see you’re trying to play it loud with your band! It’s a favorite activity here on our snowy island. Believe it or not, there is actually a bin of instruments right inside the Lighthouse itself!

It includes guitars, drums, and even a tuba! Outside of this catalog, other instruments can occasionally be found in other catalogs or during parties and events. For example, one of the prizes at this year’s Fair is a Black Keytar.

I wish you the best of luck as you try to make it big with your band!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

I can’t seem to find Bambadee or Rockhopper. I’ve been trying to find them, but have had no luck! How do you find them?

- braunny

Dear braunny,

Finding public figures such as Bambadee and Rockhopper can be quite tricky! Typically, they show up at random times throughout a party, and it’s really a game of luck.

However, we recently posted some scheduled meetup times right here on the blog! You’ll be able to find them in our guide for The Fair. Don’t give up, you’ve still got one week left!

Remember, it’s important that you walk into the room that they are in, rather than the other way around. That’s how you’ll be able to claim all of your rewards! Best of luck to you!

If you have a question about our snowy island, let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

That wraps up this week’s edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article! Thank you for stopping by, penguins. I’ll see you all next time!

Until next time… waddle on!
