Aunt Arctic's Article #10

Hello, penguins!

Welcome to another edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article. Last time, we briefly recapped the Cave Expedition, the discovery of puffles, and learned a bit about the Blue Puffle! This week, I’ll share information about the upcoming stage play and provide you insight on two other lovely puffles.

Casting Call!

It’s been quite some time since our last stage play hit the island, about four months to be exact, but the Stage is gearing up for a new play: Quest for the Golden Puffle

This play is all about adventure! It centers on two explorers named Alaska and Yukon, who make their way through an ancient pyramid to find the legendary golden puffle. Along the way, they will come across many booby traps, a mummy, and even a pharaoh!

If you’re interested in theater and the performing arts, then you won’t want to miss this! This new play hits the Stage sometime later this week!

Meet the Red Puffle!

Last week, we discussed some important facts about the blue puffle. This week, we’re taking a look at two different puffles! Let’s start with the red puffle.

Red Puffles are known for their constant enthusiasm, along with being both adventurous and extreme in just about any situation they are put in. Their favorite toys are bowling pins and a cannon, the latter you may have seen in the possession of Blast, a special red puffle.

One fun fact about this specific breed of puffle, they actually were not initially discovered on our snowy island. They were actually discovered by none other than Captain Rockhopper himself, back on his own island! If you’re a huge fan of pirates and have a sense of adventure, this puffle is certainly the one for you!

Meet the Pink Puffle!

Now it’s time to meet the pink puffle! These puffles are known for being both sporty and cheery. They are the most active puffles there are, and enjoy just about any physical activity, so be sure to keep them moving! Their favorite toys are their jump rope and trampoline.

Out of all the many ways to be active, a pink puffle’s favorite way to do so is by swimming! Feel free to take them down to the Underground Pool for a dip!

The red and pink puffles, along with the eight other species will be available for adoption once the Puffle Party launches. Check back next week for another look at another puffle(s)!

Ask Aunt Arctic

Dear Aunt Arctic,

What is the best place to meet new friends?

- harryPOTTAH

Dear harryPOTTAH,

One thing that I just love about our island is that there are plenty of fine spots to meet some fellow penguins and make new friends! I would say the best place to engage in some conversations with penguins would be the Town, as that part of the island always seems to be lively. Many penguins consider it the “main hub” after all!

Other places that come to mind include the Cave Mine, as many penguins love to dig for treasure and pass the time doing so by talking to others. The Coffee Shop or Pizza Parlor are also two great hangout spots to sit back, enjoy some food, and engage in some nice conversations.

I wish you the best of luck as you attempt to make new friends!

Dear Aunt Arctic,

I’ve been trying to make lots of friends on the island, but sometimes I can be a bit awkward. What do you think are some of the best ways to make new friends?

- Yfarnt

Dear Yfarnt,

First of all, I definitely understand where you’re coming from! It can prove to be quite the challenge finding the right friend group for you. I have but one thing to say, and it may sound cliche but I will say it anyway!

Be yourself! There’s only one “you” on our snowy island, so never feel afraid to be your authentic self! If penguins happen to not connect with you like you’d hope, then that’s fine! There are plenty of penguins that would love to get to know you!

Just never change any qualities about yourself just for the approval of others, always be you!

If you have a question about our snowy island, let me know! I’d love to hear from you.

That wraps up this week’s edition of Aunt Arctic’s Article! Thank you for stopping by, penguins. I’ll see you all next time!

Until next time… waddle on!
